Saco Bay Variety Saco Maine - Being from South Boston I know a good North End steak n cheese when I taste it . A few years back this store on beach street went out of buiss. someone bought it and really fixed it up . I went in and ordered a steak n cheese with green pepper .....WOW boston steak n cheese all the way ... I went back a month later to surprise my family with 5 of these melt in your mouth wonders .....my family immediately said "what did you do take a helicopter to the North End?" The third time I went in I actually met the owner and talked ,,,,an old Italian with an accent and guess what ,,,yupp,,,from the North End of Boston ,,lol ....If you never had a hay market square steak n cheese and your in maine go here ,,, promise you you'll be back !
